I'm back with a second of these! I wrote about the poetry category here: https://leonidskies.dreamwidth.org/2473.html.

I will give a huge disclaimer that I'm not really an artist and don't have a hugely distinguished artistic eye. I'm a "the colours are swag and the lighting is yolo" kind of guy, but I'm also a big fan of trying to appreciate art on its own terms, so I am here looking at SFF artist portfolios instead of finishing up with the novella category (nearly done! Lots of phenomenal books).

So, here we go. I'll note I based my judgement only on what the artists included in their voter's pack submission:

Terri Ash - I'm not a fibre crafts person! These are kinda cute? A lot of them are things which could just... not be anything to do with SFF. There are a couple of things that seem quite fandom-referential that I don't get because I'm not in SFF fandom as a general entity (I had this issue with one of the poems too).

Geneva Bowers - ohhhh these are cute. I love the vibrancy of this artist's work a whole bunch, and there are some good SF elements in them especially. I'm a sucker for stars, I'm a sucker for space. I like the art Bowers presented a lot!

Richard Man - this is a very charming collection of works. I don't find them impressive, but they're really cute and clearly mean a lot to the artist and it's lovely art to see.

Sara Felix - the photos in this one are super crunchy, which is a shame, but wowwww these are cool as hell. The craft on display is so neat.

España Sheriff - a lot of this is clearly art done for SFF conventions, which is pretty cool! These don't call out to me in particular though.

Yuumei - ohhhh this is absolutely stunning artwork. This is the kind of SFF fanart I'm very used to seeing, but this artist is very good at taking a fun concept and executing it vibrantly. I like these a lot.
